TEACHING
My teaching focuses geographically on the Americas and the Atlantic World, with a particular emphasis on the southern South America and Brazil. I am interested in a broad range of topics, including colonialism, nationalism, spatial thought, migration, and the historical agency of Indigenous Americans and African Americans. I also teach on the use of geographic information systems (GIS) in the humanities and social sciences.
