TEACHING INTERESTS
My teaching focuses geographically on Latin America and the Atlantic World, with a particular emphasis on the Southern Cone and Brazil. I am interested in a broad range of topics, including colonialism, nationalism, spatial thought, and the actions of indigenous Americans and African Americans. I also enjoy methods courses related to digital mapping and historical inquiry. I have taught in both traditional classrooms and learning studios and I have experience leading a study abroad program.
